Local Business Opportunity
Do You own a business in the White Mountains? Would you like to write about your business on this blog? Before you say no, “I’m not a blogger”, hear me out. It would be very simple. You write a story, put it in an email, and send it to me. If I feel it would go along with the theme of this blog, I’ll take it from there. I’ll have to proof read it, I may have to make some minor changes, and then post it on my site. Simple right? And best of all, it’s free.
Here are some disclosures and guidelines:
- I reserve the right to refuse anyone.
- It will need to be interesting, so write a story about how you got started and what the business looks like today, as apposed to when you began this journey.
- A story is always better when there’s a human element involved. Write about your background, or about someone who works for you. Everyone loves a boss who cares about their people!
- Try not to make it too lengthy. It has been my experience that if it’s too long, some people won’t read it.
- If I need to cut something, or shorten it, I will send you a copy and make sure you’re okay with the changes, before I post it.
- If you would like, email some pictures with your story and I’ll put one or two of them in the post. The number of pictures I put in the post, will depend on the size of the story.
- Comments will be closed for these stories. This will not be a platform for complaints. There are other places for that, and that’s not what this will be about.
You don’t need to have a business pertaining to real estate to write a story about it on this blog. The idea is to help people that may have never been here, get a better understanding of our community. And for those thinking of coming here, it will help them see what we have to offer. This blog gets read by a lot of local people as well, and if they see by what you write, that you seem to be the kind of person they would like to do business with, you’re in!
I read an article the other day at the Geek Estate Blog, about how 80% of the US population is on the internet now. It’s so convenient to look something up on the internet anymore, and it’s really the way things are going. If you’ve never been someplace that you’d like to go, whats the first thing you do? Jump on the super highway and see what’s out there, right? I know if there is a gadget that I want to buy (I like gadgets), I can’t afford to just buy it and do my own review on it. So I do a google blog search and see who else bought it and what they think about it, and let them be the guinea pig.
