THE MOUNTAIN

I saw this on Teresa Boardmans blog and wanted to pass it along.

There is a lot to be said about being set free from the iniquity of DEBT! Before you leave, understand that there are people who have done it. I believe that it’s possible. Have I done it? Not yet. Would I love to be there? Yes!! Wouldn’t you?! If you could take a minute and think about that, and think about the freedom that you would have if you KILLED your credit cards, and paid all your debts off, you may be able to get just a glimpse of this guys vision. Can you imagine what would be possible if you didn’t have a house payment and a couple car payments and all those credit card payments?

I know this guy …. who is so all over this. He HATES credit cards. If you give him a chance you’ll understand why and may start to hate them as well. His name is Dave Ramsey. His radio show is another talk show I used to listen to when I drove truck, on XM and before that on AM. Now Dave has gone “Big Time”. He’s on Fox news now, which I think is very cool. He definitely has something to say. To find out all about him go check out his website.

I went to his Financial Peace University over in Show Low, which was sponsored by Calvary Baptist Church. The classes are all on video, and they’re all Dave, meaning Dave is a lot to take, but a lot of fun. I believe CC still facilitates the classes. CC is another extremely cool person, and my family has know her and her family for a long time. If you decide you’d like to go to one of the classes you should go check out Calvary’s web site.

I would love to be one of Dave’s “ELP’s”, and in fact I tried to be, but when I tried for it, I needed to be longer in the business to make the cut, so I’ll have to give it some time I guess.

This I believe is one of this countries biggest issues right now, so if you, like most of us, need a bit of a cattle prod, to get going on financial peace, I would really recommend going to the class. You won’t be disappointed either, Dave is a blast to listen to.
