Apache County Zoning 5
I have just talked to Mary Turner over at Apache county P&Z. Mary said that if you would like to be at the next open meeting on the new zoning laws (October 2nd) they are asking that we comment via email or fax prior to that meeting. From what Mary said this is the time to either put up or shut up - my words. At this meeting the board is going to vote on weather to adopt the new ordinance or not.
So please, if you have any comments or issues with this new ordinance now is the time to make them known. You can email Milton Ollerton at: mollerton@co.apache.az.us or David Brown at: dbrown@co.apache.az.us Or fax them to: 928-337-7633. For other info on the ordinance you can always visit the Apache County Planning & Zoning main page at: http://www.co.apache.az.us/PlanningandZoning/PlanningandZoning.htm Also to get the whole ordinance and print it out or just put it on your desktop and read when you have the time, go HERE
If you are not familiar with where the open meetings are held, they are catty corner from Speedy B’s at the Apache County Annex building in St Johns.
Joel Lawson is the owner and designated broker here at Integrity Realty & Associates LLC. Joel told me this morning that he is going to talk about this subject on his radio show which he will tape today and will air on Saturday 9/15/07, which is this Saturday, on 93.5FM at 11:00am. If you have the opportunity I would suggest checking it out. Joel discusses many interesting things on his show that have to do with property rights, as well as other topics. I really enjoy listening when I can. He may also mention this blog so if you are reading this now, you will be able to say that you “read that blog all the time!” He he he.
I just want to reiterate that the next open meeting is October 2, 2007 at 8:30pm in the Apache County Annex building in St Johns. I am under the impression that this will be the final open meeting before the ordinance will become law unless there are enough people unhappy with it.
Have a GOOD day
