WHITE MOUNTAINS - Representative Ann Kirkpatrick, Arizona's only member on the House Committee on Homeland Security, today issued the following statement criticizing the Senate for eliminating funds from the Supplemental Appropriations Act of 2010 to expand the U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) and deploy additional security personnel and resources to the border.

SHOW LOW - Leo Times Jr. had the times of his life July 13-18 when he joined the Junior National Young Leaders Conference in Washington, D.C.
Leo, 11, is a fifth-grader at Nikolaus Homestead Elementary School in Show low and spent his time in the nation's Capitol with faculty advisors from the JNYLC visiting monuments and historic locations like Harper's Ferry (of abolitionist John Brown fame) while also learning American History.
